it happens that i caught up with these three for a short little session in their yard.  we had no agenda, just hoped to grab a few shots of each of them...being them.  

it was great fun.  and it turned out that a 20 minute session is about all Street is interested in, anyway.

i love this family.  thank you kristen and nathan for letting me come play!

- on another note - i've been thinking for a while about adding "short sessions" to my portrait options.  what do you think?

i have been so excited about this session!

like several of the seniors i've gotten to photograph this year, kristen plays soccer on my husband andy's team.  she has been part of the varsity team since she was a tiny, skinny, quiet freshman.  the years have seen kristen grow to be a senior captain that the team and coaches can always rely on - on and off the field.

there is a special kind of joy that comes with photographing the new baby of a couple whose wedding i also photographed.  

stacie and garrett are an all time favorite couple.  i was so lucky to be in on their beautiful wedding.  we also spent time taking engagement photos - which they laughed all the way through -  and bridal photos  before the big day.  and when the time came, i was tickled to be asked to take photos of baby Maddox.

B R O O K S

i had the privilege of a quick and simple session with one week old Brooks.  

i was thrilled to meet him.  i've known Brooks's mom and dad for a couple of years, since his older sister presley was born.  they are such a neat family, and i've had a blast photographing presley every time.  they just needed a little boy!

haley and cody have been friends since they were little, spending their afternoons at the park making up games and swinging from rope swings.  it was hayley's idea that she and cody schedule their senior portrait sessions on the same day and keep each other company.

i've been loving shooting seniors lately.  we have had a lucky combination of (mostly) great weather, locations that are new to me, fun seniors, and inspired photographer.  it has made for some great images.  i'm itching to shoot more!
