katie

katie was my neighbor when i was in high school.  our fathers worked together.  she was little and i took photos of her at the playground for my photography class!  both of our families have moved around the world since then - and stayed friends.




to commemorate katie's graduation from college and this time in her life, her mom and dad asked me to take a few photos. the windy day gave us a challenge - but it was fun to spend time talking to katie, hearing about her plans for the future, and trying to keep her hair from blowing in her face!  in the end, i love the wind and the sun in her hair.  the weather gave the images a casual ease - just like katie.
